Fire in the city

A pall of smoke hung over the Plaza Ayuntamiento (Town Hall Square) yesterday afternoon. Within minutes sirens and flashing lights were everywhere as police and firemen converged on the street. It would seem that the contents of a garbage truck had caught fire. All was tipped onto the pavement and some waitrasses from a nearby cafe were already hosing it down as the firemen arrived and took over.
